The Rundown: The Thunderbolts invade Latveria to locate Red Skull’s last hidden base.

Bucky and his team have managed to track Red Skull’s final hidden base to one of the most dangerous places on Earth, Latveria. To make matters worse, its leader Doctor Doom not only doesn’t believe Bucky, but has actively warned them against entering his country.

With the might of Doom on their heels and the power of the reformed Red Skull in front of them, the Thunderbolts will have their work cut out for them as they prepare to bring Skull down once and for all.

The Story: Kelly and Lanzing continue to deliver a wonderful story for Bucky in this issue. The story comes to a thrilling and exciting conclusion that showcases not only how interesting Bucky is on his own, but also how formidable a tactician and strategist he is. There is great action throughout the story and a dark suspense that I enjoyed a lot.

The Art: Borges delivers beautifully detailed art in the issue. The wonderful use of shadow throughout the panels perfectly captures the dark tone and danger the characters face.
